Gemini is the sign of the twins, and as such appears to evoke things in multiples. For this lunar cycle, there are three layers of positive energy:
- 1st: Full Moon
- 2nd: Lunar Eclipse
- 3rd: Uranus in Aries shifting into Direct Motion
Any issues or habits buried or hidden in darkness will become illuminated, as the time is ripe for addressing them. Under Gemini, there is potential to be innocently curious. There is also the possibility of signals getting crossed, and communication and emotions getting confused. Ones energy may feel scattered and low. There is also potential for verbal attacks that trigger intense emotional reactions. Comfort yourself. Release the struggle, and allow the energy to flow. Shifts in feelings and in thinking become possible as you work the energy potential.
As for the full Eclipse, it suggests there is great potential for the discovery of things hidden, and/or the need of clearing things away from our lives. The Lunar Eclipse signifies the ending of a life chapter. Healing from lingering issues, and emotional residue is vital to get into clear space. Let those things you are releasing go with honor. The symbolism of the Eclipse and Full Moon in Gemini suggests we look honestly under our emotions or guilt. Which perception has generated the tension and/or fear?
Uranus in Aries, now in Direct Motion, will increase the over all tempo considerably over the next few months as it begins to build pressure towards square aspect to transiting Pluto in Capricorn. It says, no more procrastinating. Make a choice, and own it. If you have the courage to dispense with playing the Blame Game, and accept personal responsibility for your self, and the choices you make, you can make the most of the opportunities occurring during this time.
There is potential to make a huge shift in your life now. Do your part to acknowledge your role, and allow yourself to heal.
The following on this December full Moon, which is also known as the Full Cold Moon, is from the Old Farmer's Almanac:
- The Full Cold Moon; or the Full Long Nights Moon - December: During this month the winter cold fastens its grip, and nights are at their longest and darkest. It is also sometimes called the Moon before Yule. The term Long Night Moon is a doubly appropriate name because the midwinter night is indeed long, and because the Moon is above the horizon for a long time. The midwinter full Moon has a high trajectory across the sky because it is opposite a low Sun.
